So this weekend I was talking to a friend, and she had found one of those old school discs that the internet provider used to send in the mail. Side note…Netflix dvds in the mail. Bringing back all the memories. So since it’s a piece of history and needs to be in a museum, she laminated it and turned it into a coaster. So now it’s a conversation starter.

So it got us thinking about the old noise and the different things that the internet used to bring us. I remember the dancing baby. Someone set it to the music hooked on a feeling, now all these years later I hear that song and think of the animation. It was so herky jerky. But man was it the beginning of a lot of ground breaking things to come. The game pong was headed into the future and the graphics were going to be amazing! Just think, now we have Disney and Pixar and the animation studios are out of this world. I used to dream of drawing for Disney. How cool of a job that would be! I’ve done a button down below if you want to see the animation that in my opinion started it all.

Fast forward to today. I am trying to navigate this website stuff and all of the details that go with it, so this weekend I am learning how to incorporate more than one social into this. So for your viewing pleasure I am going to link the Pinterest board of photos of what the beginning stage of the Smurf garden is starting out as. Everything will be mounted on a patio block with this really cool moss, Ive got some white river rocks to put down and even some blue gemstones to make a river. I think it’s gonna be a super cute area out in the garden. Have any of you done anything like this before? Share your tips tricks or photos with me! I’d love to see your creations!

Saturday morning we’re headed to Proctor, to try to get the word out about the custom art I’ve got going on. We’ve got cards, stickers, and bookmarks. The canvas is a blank page. If you’ve got an idea let’s talk, together we can make the perfect item for you.

I’m excited to welcome you to this year’s 3rd Annual Want It, Need It, Get It! Craft & Small Business Show at Forbes United Methodist Church, located at 33 Grove St, Proctor, MN.

Vendors will be set up on two levels — upstairs in the Narthex and Fellowship Room, and downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. The church is handicap accessible, and there is an elevator available for easy access.

You’ll find approximately 30 booths filled with a great variety of handmade goods, baked treats, honey, syrup, wild rice, jelly, jam, and products from local and regional small businesses you’ve come to know and love from The Katz Meow Shows.

The ladies of the church will be selling lunch, and the Shrine Funrazors will be selling beef sticks to support their community efforts.

Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or something for yourself, this is a great opportunity to shop local and support small businesses.

Well, I did it. I packaged my first order from the website store front. It’s the craziest feeling. I am just so excited! I wondered how it would work. Would it notify me? Would it be an easy thing to learn? Well yes, it did, and it was. I am so excited, I may have mentioned that already, I am really looking forward to this next part of this adventure. I keep thinking, this is gonna be tough, this is a lot of unknowns, however, it isn’t anything that can’t be handled in one thing at a time. One question, one process, one to do list. So to all of you that have supported me and cheered for me, Thank you. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, and is felt deep in my soul. Well I am excited to announce that the website has a new page. A shopping cart. It’s got all the features. So many I haven’t even been able to check em all out yet. It’s got shipping, and credit cards, fraud protection, PayPal. It’s going to be amazing and I really hope you join me on this new adventure! I look forward to fulfilling all your art needs. I’ll be hanging out at the Island Lake Inn on Saturday, April 5 from 9 am til 3 pm for the spring fling craft sale. I’ll have all the designs that are listed on my available for purchase page on the website with me. They will be on cards and book marks and I’ve even learned how to do stickers.
